Yoga: $45/hour

I believe that yoga, when practiced in its purest form, helps to achieve self-realization: Harmony between the mind and body. Contemporary Western yoga focuses more on cardiovascular and ab-shaping routines. However, they ignore the mind-body connection. In addition this focus has frightened many people from even trying yoga and experiencing the benefits. We are losing the focus of what yoga truly is: an ancient spiritual practice aimed to restore peace and simplicity and free the mind from suffering and mystification. Our bodies are being strained and neglected due to the burden of modern life in the race for material success. Yoga helps integrate the physical and mental plane through balance. In other words, it helps one rise over obstacles on the path to perfect health and spiritual contentment. Postures, or asanas, tone the whole body. They improve breathing, strengthen muscles and bones, correct posture, and increase energy. Yoga activates all the muscles, bone, and organs of the body.

My training in Raja Yoga includes Meditation, Hatha yoga, Ayurvedic diet (vegetarian, food-combination), Energy Healing (Reiki), and Chakra Therapy.

"Every thought, feeling, perception, or memory you may have causes a modification, or ripple, in the mind. It distorts and colors the mental mirror. If you can restrain the mind from forming into modifications, there will be no distortion, and you will experience your true Self."
- Swami Satchidananda
